Minerva Group of Hotels & Restaurants has created a history as its Minerva Grand Tirupati, was conferred the National Tourism Award for Best Hotel - 3 Star Category for the year 2014-15. The Award was recd at a glittering function held on 30th July 2016 at Vigyan Bhawan New Delhi from Smt. Sumitra Mahajan, Hon'ble Speaker Lok Sabha & Dr Mahesh Sharma, Hon'ble Minister of State for Tourism & Culture (Independent charge).
Telangana Food Festival Award:
Minerva Grand Secunderabad was adjudged as the winner of 1st Prize in 3 star hotels category for Telangana Food Festival organised at various member hotels of Hotels & Restaurants Association of Telangana State (HRATS) from 1st to 5th June 2016 as organised by TSTDC / Telangana Tourism Deptt, Govt of TS as part of the 2nd Telangana Formation day Celebrations. The Food festival was very appreciated by the regular patrons and the event was supported by The Hindu. The awards were given away in a glittering ceremony by Mr Azmeera Chandulal, Hon’able Minister for Tourism & Tribal Welfare, Govt of TS, Mr P Ramulu, IPS, Chairman, TSTDC and Dr Christina Z Chongthu, IAS, MD, TSTDC, attended by many hoteliers, press, media, officials & guests. Our Group Vice President was also one of the Jury for these awards.
Hyderabad Arts Fesitval (HAF) Events:
Minerva Grand Group of Hotels & Restaurants has supported the Hyderabad Arts Festival (HAF) as a hospitality partner for four of its events in the Season 4 of the festival. Hyderabad Arts Festival is the annual festival of Hyderabad, spread across three months every year. The festival has been conceived to get together all the Hyderabad loving people on to a single platform, time and again, to feel the rich diversity of this great city through various events, and thereby feel proud being a Hyderabadi. The most distinguishing factor of HAF is that all its Season events are non-ticketed and free for the audience. It has the distinction of being India’s Longest Performing Arts Festival. The following are the events for which Minerva Grand was a Hospitality Partner: Sabri Brothers – 23rd April 2016 – Under Charminar A musical evening of captivating Sufi and Qawwali The Sabri Brothers are known worldwide for their powerful, full throated Qawwali that has enchanting nuances, beauty and alchemy of poetry. While the Sufi poetry took you into a trance, the Qawwali sent the pulse racing. A mystical and magical event indeed. This event kind of created history that first time ever a private performance of this kind was permitted & held under the historical Charminar. Sabri Brothers stayed at the Minerva Grand Secunderabad. Lagori Band – 30th April 2016 – HITEX Lawns Folk Rock Fusion Music Lagori is a band that is fascinated by the rich diversity of culture that exists in India. Lagori makes music that reflects the face of the modern Indian youth, by combining Indian classical melodies and inflections with Rock music, resulting in an interesting mix that is high on energy, while being catchy and soulful at the same time. What an awesome evening they gave to Hyderabad and they stayed at Minerva Grand Kondapur.
Rani Rudramma & Tandavam – 14th May 2016 – Shilparamam Amphitheatre
A Kuchipudi dance feature by Shambhavi Dance Ensemble Rani Rudramma Devi was one of the most prominent woman rulers of the Kakatiya dynasty. Throughout her life, she continued to be an epitome of beauty and strength. Rani Rudramma Devi’s life teaches us to be passionate about pursuing our interests and becoming capable leaders. This dance feature by Prateeksha Kashi salutes the spirit of Rani Rudramma Devi. Minerva Grand Kondapur had the privilege to host Prateeksha & her mother for the second consecutive year.
La Foret Ebouriffee – 04th June 2016 – Shilpakala Vedika
French artists performing Dance and Theatre with Multimedia - In Association with Alliance Française of Hyderabad This is choreographer brothers Christian & François Ben Aim first piece created especially for children. The story revolves around a little boy who flees from the hostile daily life, and takes refuge in a forest. The scenography and video projections take the audience on a poetic journey between virtual images and bodies in motion, immersing them into a world that is as moving as it is extraordinary. The show was a visual delight and the French Artists stayed at Minerva Grand Kondapur.
